Picthing Regulations - Pick Off Attempts 3rd to 1st

TASO BASEBALL - Training Bulletin #1                                   March 3, 2014

PITCHING REGULATION - Pickoff Attempts - 3rd to 1st

There may be some misunderstanding concerning the 3rd-to-1st pickoff attempt under

NFHS rules. This move is NOT illegal under NFHS rules.

This pickoff attempt is illegal ONLY in games that are played under OBR (Major League) rules (e.g. Youth Leagues, Adult Rec Leagues) and only applies if the pitcher is in contact with the rubber when the feint to third base is made.
