Flash Photography

Flash photography is permitted during regular season and playoff games unless a request is made to a game official from one of the coaches or players for a photographer to cease using flash equipment because the flash equipment poses a safety issue, the flash equipment interferes with play, or the flash equipment is a distraction to the players.

Flash photography is not permitted at the volleyball and basketball state tournaments because the flash equipment interferes with the equipment of the official UIL state tournament photographer.

Game officials are advised not to take any action on their own during games with respect to flash photographers unless a request described above has been made by one of the coaches or players.
