TASO VOLLEYBALL MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN 2019 SPIKE OUT
Seven TASO Volleyball Austin Chapter officials provided support to 21st Annual Spike Out Tournament in Riverside, California on October 4 & 5, 2019. This is the first time in history the tournament had all deaf officials providing communication access to players and coaches from 10 high school teams, tournament staff, and attendees. Participants from Arizona, California (2), District of Columbia (DC), Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia, came together to compete for the national title. The event organizer noted that with everyone having communication access to the games was very well received and individuals appreciated the opportunity to enjoy the sport.
