TASO BASEBALL MEMBERS DONATE SERVICES TO MATT DOZIER BENEFIT TOURNAMENT

In 2002, former South Grand Prairie High School center fielder Matt Dozier was paralyzed in an accident. Every fall since then, South Grand Prairie Baseball has held a benefit tournament with all of the proceeds going to Matt and his family. TASO Baseball members from the Dallas, Collin County and Alliance chapters donate their services and their time and effort to make help this tournament happen. Each year several high‑profile select teams, along with area teams, participate in the tournament.

Along with the TASO members, parents, booster clubs, players and coaches from the South Grand Prairie and Grand Prairie high schools volunteer their time to make the tournament a success. This year, approximately $7,000 was raised to benefit Matt and his family.
