RONNY HODGKINS
Ronny was a former member of the TASO Football East Texas Chapter.
Services for Ronny Hodgkins, 65, of Kilgore will be 10:00 am, Thursday,
February 22, 2018 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Brother Tim
Wade officiating. Private family entombment set for later date. Family
will receive friends from 6‑8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Rader Funeral
Home in Kilgore. Mr. Hodgkins passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018
in Tyler.
Ronny was born on December 29, 1952 in Wichita County,
Texas to the late Albert and Freda Hodgkins. Mr. Hodgkins worked in the
oil field industry for many years. He enjoyed bull riding, playing
cards, shuffleboard and golf. He was a loving and caring father,
brother, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by
all.
He is survived by his daughters, Courtney Strong and husband
Jeremy of Kilgore and Kelly Madden and husband Billy of Temple; son,
Scott Summy and wife Dora of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Nelda
Holmes and husband Jimmy of Dundee, Texas; brother, Donny Hodgkins of
Dundee, Texas; grandchildren, Colton Strong, Corbin Strong, Kamryn
Madden, Wriley Madden, Steven Summy and Dylan Summy; great grandson,
Sean Summy and companion, Nikki Atwood of Overton as well as numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by one sister; three brothers and a grandson.
