TASO SOCCER DIVISION IMPLEMENTS A NEW SERVICE AWARD PROGRAM WITH ASSISTANCE FROM VOLLEYBALL LEADERS
The TASO Soccer Board of Directors approved the implementation of a Service Awards Program two years ago. The approval and funding for such a program was only the first step. With over 2,000 soccer members, the launch and implementation of this program from scratch was quite a task. Soccer soon discovered, though, that we were not alone on this journey.
The TASO Soccer Board of Directors would like to extend a sincere thank you to TASO Volleyball IPP Sandra Welch for providing a tangible “game plan” of how the Volleyball Division manages their Service Award Program. We also extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation to Golden Triangle Volleyball officers, President Donna Anthony, and Assigner Lala Howell. These talented leaders from the Beaumont area were an inspiration to dual enrolled soccer members, as they welcomed, inspired, and mentored multisport newcomers on the journey to their own years of service award milestones.
The TASO Soccer Board of Directors are pleased to present Sandra, Donna, and Lala of TASO Volleyball with our first ever 5‑year Service Award Coins for Soccer Division members. Thank you, Volleyball, for leading the way and inspiring us!
To date, over 950 5+ year service award coins have been distributed to local chapter leadership across Texas, as well as awards for 20+ year members. This year, soccer will add 10+ and 15+ year awards, as well.
