TASO VOLLEYBALL SUPPORTS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.   TASO Volleyball supports and encourages you to participate.  During the month of October, TASO Volleyball allows officials to use pink whistles, pink lanyards and pink flags during any match to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness.

If the school wants to play a token rally with a solid colored pink ball – why not?   Teams may play an entire match with a colored panel ball that includes pink as one of the panel colors, as long as it complies with Rule 3, Section 2 and has the NFHS logo.

If the school wants you to wear a pink t‑shirt for one match and you feel comfortable with that – why not?    Some schools may wear tiny ribbon tattoos during the month of October.  This would be fine since the tiny ribbon tattoos would be no different than a school mascot tattoo.  (none painted on face or body)

As schools begin to have fundraisers, be cautious in receiving any items that could be perceived as inappropriate.  It is good to attend fundraisers but we should do so at our own expense.
