DON MELTON

Don was born in 1947 in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Norman and Christine Melton. His family later moved to Duncanville, where he graduated from Duncanville High School. He went on to continue his education by graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Don’s love of sports shaped his lengthy career in coaching and officiating. He coached football and track at several schools, spending most of his coaching career at Duncanville High School. He also officiated softball, volleyball, and basketball, earning many high honors over the years. Sports brought him immense joy and opportunities to develop relationships, encourage others, and serve those around him.
