Donny Willis
Donald “Donny” Ray Willis, 56, of Maud, Texas, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. Donny was a member of the TASO Football East Texas Chapter and the TASO Basketball Mount Pleasant Chapter.
He was born February 25, 1964 in Paris, France to Frank Edward and Mary Louise Willis. Donny enjoyed hunting and playing with his grandkids and being with his family.
He leaves behind his wife, Melody Willis of Maud, Texas; four sons and daughters‑ in‑law, Ernest and Holly Tidwell of Tyler, Texas, Anthony and Pam Tidwell of Redwater, Texas, Jesse and Bailey Willis of Redwater, Texas, and Donny, Jr. and Krystal Willis of New Boston, Texas; ten grandchildren, Logan Tidwell, Bailey Logan, Britton Tidwell, Briley Tidwell, Andrew Willis, Layton Willis, Brooklee Willis, Rylee Willis, Kolby Willis, and Braden McDonald; one twin brother, Ronnie Willis of Hooks, Texas; four sisters Darla Willis and Jeff of North Carolina, Dawn and Eddy Thompson of Amarillo, Texas, Delores Willis of Amarillo, Texas, and Shanna Figeroa and Miguel of Amarillo, Texas; brother‑in‑law, Billy Tidwell and Cathy of Hooks; sisters‑in‑law, Paula Saldonia of Texarkana, Brenda Adams and Kenneth of Texarkana, and Shannon Solida and Don Rollins of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2020, at Chapelwood Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Chapelwood Bell Tower Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
