BODY LANGUAGE CAN BE A CAREER KILLER
We have all heard the phrase, “It’s not what you say as much
as how you say it”. While you are
officiating, your body language often speaks louder than your words. You may get the call right, but if you don’t appear
to be decisive, coaches, players and fans may still doubt your call. Don’t forget that even in dead ball situations,
body language is saying much about you, your attitude and your professional demeanor. Avoid crossed arms, slumped shoulders, hands
on your hips or in your pockets. These
create the impression that you are bored or had rather be somewhere else.
