TASO BASKETBALL LAREDO CHAPTER APPROVED BY THE UIL
The UIL Sports Officials Committee (SOC) has unanimously voted to approve the TASO Basketball Laredo Chapter. The chapter has been in operation for two years providing officials for Laredo area UIL sub‑varsity and TAPPS games at all levels. This action clears the path for the chapter to also provide officials for varsity level games for UIL schools in the area.
The presentation to the SOC was led by Chapter leaders Zabdiel Rincon, Sergio Feral and Uziel Rincon.
“The chapter has done a great job of recruiting new officials plus providing training for current members,” said Calvin Harris, TASO Basketball President‑Elect, “these efforts were recognized by the SOC.”
